Liz Toma Danovsky is a native of San Diego. She has been teaching for 25 years. She started her career in Arizona teaching special education students in a variety of settings. She has worked in the San Diego Unified School District for 17 years. This is her 10th year at Riley. Prior to coming to Riley, she spent 7 years at Standley Middle School.
Liz earned her Bachelor's degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies from Northern Arizona University. As she was completing an internship at Westbridge Treatment center in Arizona, to complete her certification for the National Council to be a Recreational Therapist, she switched her career path. Liz pursued post baccalaureate degrees in elementary education, and special education (ED and LD) through University of Phoenix. She continued on to earn her Master of Arts degree in Education Administration.
Liz enjoys working with the students and staff at Riley. When Liz is not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, rollerblading, biking, and taking long walks on the beach.
